Designs | Living Rooms | Interior decoration | A living room decorated in English style
The living room of a country mansion, with a lot of English influence. This how the pieces of sitting furniture were made, with tapestries selected to them, inspiring the forms and ornamentations of the draperies. You can see old French and newly-made wall tapestries. The large-sized Persian rugs are from Tabriz and, because of their ornamentation, they are also called “fish” rugs. The coverings and the fireplace were made of granite.

Designs | Living Rooms | Interior decoration | Living area in Empire style
The design of the living area in this country house was based on a unified concept. At an auction, we managed to buy a complete set of living room furniture in good condition, which was given a worthy place following the renovation. The warm silk draperies and tapestries are the same everywhere inside the room. This ensures unity as well as beauty.

Designs | Living Rooms | Interior decoration | Ladies’ salon
The blue rooms are cheerful and calming. I recommend to everybody, if they have a chance, to try it. The room was inspired by a Persian “nain” rug, and the objects were placed around it. The Neo-Baroque set was once covered with blue-striped textile purchased in an IKEA store. The different blue-toned ceramics and faiences are also beautiful.

Designs | Living Rooms | Interior decoration | Living area in Colonial style
The pictures show two sides of the same large living room. Its style is determined by the proper mixture of Colonial-style furniture and natural materials. This large-sized interior space is basically balanced by the individually designed, 4.5-meter-long wool sofa and the warm-coloured, nomadic kilim placed above it, which reaches up to the library upstairs.

Designs | Living Rooms | Interior decoration | A lovely blue room
This living room gained a special atmosphere from the colour of the wall and the warm, honey-and-walnut shades of the writing chest. The Buddhas are in harmony with these shades as well as the lead-glass composition constructed of sticks.

Two details of the same living area: the gilded salon set in front of the Baroque fireplace covered with black-and-gold textile is in harmony with the black-based Tabriz rug. In the other picture, the side room is furnished as a card room. The decorative draperies are the same, their colour changes in accordance with the furniture covers.

The atmosphere evokes the interiors of old, 18th-century castles. The pieces of furniture, i.e. the mirror, the console table, and the lamp tables, were all made in accordance with the salon set. Each piece praises the work done by the wood sculptor and the gilders.

What is special about the living room in the picture is the fact that its whole wall surface is covered with a 17th-century tapestry depicting Brussels.

Designs | Living Rooms | Interior decoration | The living room of a renovated Baroque villa
The living space of a renovated Baroque villa. What makes it unique is the fact that the family takes with them to every new home the beautiful Baroque fireplace that once belonged to the Széchenyi family. The nearly 15-square-meter wall tapestry is the copy of a 17th-century wall tapestry representing a view of Brussels. Being so close to it is a wonderful feeling.
